Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Rover in Hagerstown MD you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls Food/Beverage and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal you will monitor and patrol retail and food and beverage locations making rounds throughout sales floors stock areas and parking lots. You will stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents respond to concerns and support guests and team members with clear communication and customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities in retail and food or beverage locations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including addressing disturbances disruptive behavior and potential shoplifting concerns in accordance with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors stock areas receiving docks parking areas and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances and exits observe customer and employee traffic patterns and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activities incidents and maintenance hazards and communicate updates to on-site personnel and/or responding public services as directed by procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
