About This Role:
As the FP&A Manager you will serve as the sole finance leader for a fast-growing omni-channel physical product brand operating across DTC Amazon and wholesale channels with global supply chain complexity and multiple 3PL partners. You will own financial planning forecasting cash flow visibility and margin performance working directly with executive leadership while building a disciplined data-driven finance function designed for scale. This role requires strong executive presence and the ability to operate independently while preparing to manage a small accounting team within the next 612 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Finance Leadership & Ownership

  • Act as the sole FP&A and finance lead within the organization.

  • Partner directly with the CEO/CFO and executive leadership on strategic decision-making.

  • Prepare to formally manage and mentor a team of 3 accountants within 612 months.

  • Establish scalable financial processes for a growing inventory-based business.

• Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Own the annual budget and rolling monthly forecasts.

  • Build detailed channel-level and SKU-level revenue and margin forecasts across DTC Amazon and Wholesale.

  • Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.

  • Develop scenario models for pricing promotions tariffs inventory buys and headcount planning.

• Channel Margin & Inventory Analysis

  • Analyze gross and contribution margin by channel and SKU.

  • Evaluate promotional impact discounting strategy and advertising efficiency.

  • Partner with Sales to assess wholesale account profitability.

  • Align financial forecasts with supply planning across global vendors and 3PL partners.

  • Monitor inventory turns aging stock working capital exposure and stockout risk.

• Reporting & Investor Support

  • Deliver monthly financial performance reporting and variance analysis.

  • Build KPI dashboards including GM% contribution margin revenue per FTE and inventory turns.

  • Support investor and board-level reporting requirements.

  • Strengthen forecast-to-actual feedback loops with Accounting.

  • Present clear financial insights that guide executive decisions..

Software/Platforms/Tools:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (financial modeling)

• ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)

• Inventory and financial reporting tools

• Slack Zoom Email (Communication)

Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years of freelancing experience

• Excellent written and verbal English communication (C1/C2 level).

• 58 years of FP&A or corporate finance experience.

• Experience in an omni-channel physical product company (DTC Amazon Wholesale strongly preferred).

• Experience operating in a small scaling company environment.

• Strong understanding of inventory-based forecasting gross margin contribution margin and working capital management.

• Demonstrated leadership experience or readiness to manage a small accounting team.

• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.

• Strong executive communication skills with confidence in presenting to leadership and investors.

• Comfortable operating independently in a founder-led fast-paced business.

Shift Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM Pacific Time (US PST)
