Job Summary
About the Role:
Our client in Bahrain is seeking an experienced Project Controls Cost Control Engineer/Manager to monitor analyze forecast and report project costs to ensure financial integrity and cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. You will support project managers and stakeholders with accurate cost information and proactive recommendations for managing budgets and mitigating cost-related risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project cost control systems budgets and forecasts
Monitor project expenditures identify variances and recommend corrective actions
Prepare cost estimates cash flows and funding requirements
Conduct cost risk analyses and value engineering reviews
Coordinate with project managers schedulers and finance teams to align cost data with project performance
Prepare monthly cost reports and present findings to stakeholders
Ensure compliance with internal controls contractual terms and financial policies
Support the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and cost coding
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Finance Construction Management or related field
10 years of experience in cost control/project controls for engineering construction or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of cost management tools and project controls methodologies
Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and project scheduling concepts
Detail-oriented with strong analytical reporting and communication skills
Experience in GCC projects is preferred
