Position Summary and Purpose
A non-exempt position responsible for performing a variety of duties in the medical practice including: medical assisting and X-ray. Responsible for operating radiographic equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with radiation safety procedures. Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry-eligible required. CPR Certification and previous healthcare experience preferred. Must be certified by the state of Kentucky.

Job Requirements
(Education Experience Licensure and Certification)
Education:
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
Medical assistant diploma from accredited vocational institution or community college course in medical assisting. Candidate is required to be a certified medical assistant.
Associates Degree in Radiological Technology from accredited x-ray technical program
Experience:
Minimum one year of working in a medical facility as a medical assistant/limited medical radiography (required)

Ability to critically think through complex patient situations process improvements evidence-based practice.
Equipment Operation Experience:
Radiological equipment used for medical diagnosis and treatment
