Balmain Coffee Company is an extension of our business along with our Supply Your Local Food Store offer which is an amazing range of made in store products.

About the Role

Are you ready to step into an exciting new role as the Assistant Store Manager at covering our Upper Blue Mountains locations. Enjoy leading in a positive and dynamic environment and supporting teams towards exceptional customer service. As the Assistant Store Manager you will lead your team and be involved in all aspects of the retail environment with commitment towards creating memorable experiences for your customers and supporting the Store Manager towards driving business and team success. This role also offers the opportunity for progression to become a store manager and will be working across locations including; BP Wentworth Falls BP Katoomba BP Blackheath and IGA Blackheath. The role is designed to offer additional support to managers and teams across these stores and covers all manager leave across the rosters as well as leading part of our weekend trade.

About you

We are currently seeking a motivated individual who can demonstrate the following:

  • Customer service focused with a desire to deliver memorable and committed service in every interaction.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of persistence excited by challenges and developing creative solutions.
  • Time management skills to delegate tasks across a 24/7 trading business and confidence to assist managing 15 team members at each store across 4 locations.
  • Strive to tackle challenges and able to lead and work with your team
  • Embraces a people first culture
  • Clear confident communicator with listen to hear skills.
  • Strong desire to coach and develop both existing and new team members.
  • Motivated by the opportunity for continuous development and progression opportunities.
  • Confidence to step into new environments and continue to lead in the absence of managers.
  • Competent computer skills in web-based platforms including rostering managing reports inventory management admin and training.
  • Minimum 3 years previous management experience in a similar business or retail environment is required.

As we have a 24/7 365 day trading business public holidays (Christmas Day Easter Sunday New Years Day) can be some of our busiest times of trade. Having a people first organisational culture as a leader you will want to support your team and work alongside them on these days.
