Experienced Grade 1 or 2 Casual Dieticians

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated dieticians with recent broad experience in the acute inpatient setting. The successful candidates will be required to cover weekday shifts on a casual basis. Shift length and start/finish time flexibility may be negotiated to accommodate out of work commitments.

You will be part of our Nutrition Team at St Vincents Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) based at our Fitzroy / East Melbourne/Werribee campuses.

Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to)

  • Patient centred care by maintaining high standards of evidence based clinical practice and monitor standards through ongoing review
  • Liaising with medical staff Nursing and Allied health to promote best practice clinical care in nutrition
  • Actively supporting patients tomake informed decisions about their treatment and ongoing care
  • Regular communication with other Nutrition Department staff through regular clinical meetings
  • Maintaining a close working relationship with the Food Service on nutrition related issues to assist in the provision of safe nutritionally optimal diets in accordance with current standards and patients nutritional needs

ABOUT YOU:

You will hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in Nutrition & Dietetics which provides eligibility to participate in the Accredited Practising Dietitian programme.

Your skills will include:

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience
  • Ability to be flexible with days of work
  • Ability to work as a valued team player
  • Have excellent communication skills with all staff including medical nursing allied health and food service staff
  • DAA membership desirable but not mandatory.
