The Ophthalmic Photographer performs ophthalmic photography and measurements for clinical and research protocols in the department of Ophthalmology. The majority of the photographers time is spent in direct patient care using cameras ultrasound and other ophthalmic equipment. Other duties include documenting test results to maintain photographic records for patient care and teaching developing film and instructing residents and visiting clinicians in photographic techniques.
High school diploma or GED required. Requires two years photography experience or a degree in photography; ophthalmic photography experience preferred. Computer skills are required. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of ocular anatomy and physiology and ophthalmic photographic techniques or acquire these skills through on-the-job training. CRA COA or COT licensure preferred.
