THE ROLE

As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Pure Storage you will be at the center of the hardware innovation engine leading high-stakes engineering projects from initial concept through global release. Your mission is to synchronize complex hardware schedules with critical software deliverables ensuring seamless product integration. You will serve as the strategic glue between diverse technical teams using independent judgment to mitigate risks and translate project goals into a decisive course of action for our next-generation storage platforms.

WHAT YOULL DO

  • Lead Multi-Disciplinary Programs: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of large-scale hardware projects developing and managing rigorous milestones budgets and schedules that align with Pures rapid innovation pace.

  • Bridge Hardware & Software: Collaborate across engineering organizations to ensure full product integration managing the critical dependencies where hardware performance meets software functionality.

  • Strategize & Mitigate Risk: Proactively identify technical bottlenecks and project risks working with cross-functional teams of engineers to develop and execute robust mitigation strategies.

  • Drive Operational Excellence: Develop and implement new processes and tools to streamline the product development lifecycle removing friction from the path to release.

  • Champion Communication: Translate complex engineering issues and project strategies into clear actionable updates for stakeholders ranging from junior engineers to executive leadership.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Deep Technical Aptitude: A foundation in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative field that allows you to engage deeply with highly technical management and engineering teams.

  • Hardware Release Expertise: Significant experience (typically 8 years) managing complex project schedules specifically within the Hardware Product Lifecycle from prototyping to mass production.

  • Strategic Prioritization: A proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment making sound recommendations that balance speed-to-market with product quality.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: A collaborative mindset with the soft skills required to influence and lead technical teams external vendors and diverse business groups without direct authority.

  • Operational Rigor: Strong organizational skills and familiarity with modern project management methodologies and tools used to drive large-scale hardware/software integrations.

  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore you will be expected to work from the Bengaluruoffice in compliance with Pures policies unless you are on PTO or work travel or other approved leave.
