Job Description
As a Security Officer for Retail Plazain Los Angeles CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. You will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence respond to security-related concerns and communicate clearly with tenants visitors and property teams. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants visitors and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements post orders and Allied Universal guidelines; use sound judgment and restraint while performing security-related duties.
- Respond to alarms disturbances and other incidents in a calm problem-solving manner; assist with initial scene control notifications and coordination with property management and/or local emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity; check doors gates common areas and restricted spaces for unusual conditions.
- Complete detailed written reports and activity logs document incidents and observations and communicate status updates to site leadership dispatch and/or oncoming personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have experience with handcuffs pepper spray and/or a baton preferred.
- Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
- Have CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
