Responsibilities:

• Collects basic blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques
• Orders receives accessions and tracks specimens in the departments information system(s)
• Verifies accuracy of collected specimens against orders and performs waived testing as required
• Prepares specimens for testing or shipment to internal/external laboratory
• Disposes of specimens according to policies and procedures
• Performs clerical duties including maintaining supplies and equipment

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year(s) of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork
• Hands-on experience or completion of a recognized phlebotomy program preferred
