Job Description
As a Security Officer - Logistics Site - Unarmedin Hodgkins IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. You will complete routine patrols stay visible to help deter incidents and document security-related activity with clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Operate screening and access control points by checking identification and badges verifying authorization and directing visitors drivers and employees according to site procedures.
- Screen personnel bags and/or packages using approved methods and equipment maintain required logs and communicate screening results to site leadership as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting observations and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas loading and dock zones and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
