Summer 2026 St. Martins Episcopal School
St. Martins Episcopal School is seeking certified Lifeguards to support our Summer Camp program.
This role is ideal for responsible safety-focused individuals who enjoy working with children and being part of a collaborative summer camp team.
Camp Dates & CommitmentCamp dates: June 1 July 24 2026
Mandatory all-staff training: May:00 am-4:00 pm
Required skills verification: Prior to the first day of camp (details provided in advance)
Camp schedule: MondayFriday
Meals are provided at no cost
Lifeguards play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of campers during all aquatic activities. Lifeguards are expected to maintain constant vigilance model professionalism and work closely with the Camp Director and Pool Director.
You will report to the Summer Camp Director(s) and Pool Director and interact daily with campers counselors parents/caregivers and St. Martins Episcopal School summer staff.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise campers at all times while they are in or around the pool
Ensure swimmer safety using proper lifeguarding techniques
Evaluate camper swimming ability in coordination with camp leadership
Maintain a clean safe and hazard-free pool deck and aquatic environment
Assist with pool deck organization including camper belongings and equipment
Follow and enforce all St. Martins Episcopal School Summer Camp and pool safety policies
Attend all mandatory staff meetings counselor meetings and training sessions
Complete required pre-camp skills verification
Perform additional duties as needed to support camp operations
Must be at least 15 years old
At least one year of experience working with children
Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
Current American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification
Current American Red Cross First Aid Certification
Current American Red Cross Water Safety Certification
