About the team and the role:
The Engineering Systems Tools team builds and operates the internal tooling and infrastructure that power thousands of developers across eBay. Our mission is to boost developer efficiency through automation selfservice platforms and seamless provisioning.
We own the full lifecycle of our tools from development and deployment to monitoring and operations and partner closely with teams across the company to deliver resilient scalable solutions.
The role spans fullstack development and platform operations across multicloud environments (GCP AWS Azure) with active investment in Kubernetes infrastructureascode and service automation.
What you will accomplish:
Deliver fullstack internal platforms and selfservice tools that measurably improve engineering efficiency and reduce operational toil.
Build and evolve RESTful APIs microservices and intuitive frontend experiences that integrate thirdparty and custom systems used across eBay.
Operate and scale cloud infrastructure across GCP AWS and Azure contributing to reliable provisioning configuration management and monitoring.
Implement Kubernetesbased containerization and deployment workflows to optimize performance availability and resource utilization.
Automate infrastructure and CI/CD using Terraform Helm and related tooling to accelerate delivery and increase consistency.
Own the endtoend lifecyclefrom requirements and design through deployment and postrelease supportdriving platform hardening and continuous improvement in partnership with product SRE and engineering teams.
What you will bring:
7 years of experience in software engineering and platform operations in largescale or enterprise environments.
Strong programming skills in Java (preferred) with Spring Boot or similar frameworks; bonus for frontend experience (React Angular or similar).
Handson experience designing deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes and Dockerized environments.
Proven background in multicloud architecture and automation working with GCP AWS or Azure.
Familiarity with developer platforms and tooling such as JIRA Confluence GitHub Enterprise Artifactory SonarQube Gradle Airtable and modern monitoring/logging stacks (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK).
Proficiency with infrastructureascode (e.g. Terraform Ansible) strong debugging skills across distributed systems and APIs and clear communication to collaborate across engineering and infrastructure domains.

Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
C$142400 - C$190100Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
