Job Description
As a Security Officer - Part-Time Education Campusin Philadelphia PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. Learn more: As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location you will conduct routine foot patrols across buildings and outdoor areas stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and support access control with courteous directions and clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific procedures access control and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings residence areas parking facilities and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to alarms calls for service and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation assisting with evacuations and coordinating with campus resources and/or local responders as directed.
- Monitor entrances lobbies and common areas as assigned verify identification and/or authorization when required and report unauthorized persons suspicious activity hazards and/or policy violations.
- Complete incident reports patrol logs and other documentation; communicate observations and status updates to supervisors and/or site contacts using radios phones and/or computer systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2 years of Security Experience.
- Be 21 Years of Age.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
