Duration: 13-week assignment
Position Overview The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care by performing a wide range of nursing support tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role may work across multiple care settings including hospital clinic long-term care skilled nursing medical and surgical units and may occasionally support home care services.
The CNA works under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse and may rotate across units and shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities -
Provide personal care including tub sponge and bed baths; assist with showers for ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients.

Assist with toileting needs including bedpans commodes bladder and bowel training.

Support patients with dressing grooming hygiene shaving hair care and nail care.

Assist with oral hygiene and denture care.
-
Measure and accurately record intake and output.

Collect stool urine and sputum specimens as directed.
-
Obtain and document vital signs including temperature pulse respirations blood pressure height and weight; report abnormalities promptly.

Document patient care activities and observations according to facility standards.

Assist with positioning lifting transferring turning and range-of-motion exercises using appropriate equipment.

Prepare patients for meals verify diet orders distribute trays and assist with feeding when needed.

Make occupied and unoccupied beds and maintain patient comfort.
-
Transport patients via wheelchair or gurney to other departments.
-
Support recreational and therapeutic activities as directed by licensed staff.

Assist with routine treatments and oxygen application (nasal cannula simple mask nebulizer mask) as directed.

Maintain a clean safe and well-stocked care environment while following infection control and safety protocols.

Communicate professionally with patients families and care team members.
-
Contribute observations to patient care planning and report changes in condition promptly.
Additional Duties -
Assist with admissions transfers and discharges including handling patient belongings.

Clean disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies as required.

Report malfunctioning equipment or safety concerns.
-
Participate in in-service education and training programs.
-
Perform other related duties as assigned which may include operating a motor vehicle for certain roles.
Schedule -
Night Shift: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM

May include weekends and holidays

Holiday pay based on hours worked on designated holidays
Requirements -
Active CNA certification/license required

Minimum 1 year of CNA experience preferred

Current BLS/BCLS certification required

Ability to work independently while collaborating with the care team

Strong communication documentation and patient care skills
