Job Summary

Flexible Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Responsible for the design implementation and maintenance of PJMs critical network infrastructure components used to support PJMs mission critical applications along with back-office systems. Network administrator will support multiple network systems including routers firewalls wireless infrastructure switches and load balancers.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide real-time management of the companys Network infrastructure
  • Support problem identification and resolution activities for mission critical applications and network services
  • Manage Cisco router and switch devices and configuration running IOS NxOS and ACI
  • Manage Aruba wireless network infrastructure
  • Manage and update Checkpoint and Cisco firewall rules
  • Manage F5 Load Balancer infrastructure
  • Manage Network Infrastructure services and associated infrastructure for services including DNS NTP client VPN and IPAM
  • Manage site-to-site VPN tunnels
  • Utilize IAC tools such as terraform git and CI/CD to deploy cloud network resources
  • Manage and support Azure and AWS cloud network resources
  • Ensure compliance and security of all key network components
  • Manage and execute Operations and Maintenance activities for all key infrastructure components
  • Provide maintenance and oversight for various network segments including Intranet WAN Internet and DMZ
  • Provide periodic 7x24 on-call support
  • Provide project management duties to oversee full project lifecycle including design implementation and budgeting for Networks system upgrades


Characteristics & Qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 0-5 years of work experience
  • Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Experience using verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
  • Experience with F5 content switching and DNS products and TCP/IP
  • Experience in network protocols including detailed packet analysis and intermediate understanding of firewalls routers IDS and IPS
  • CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Upon Hire


Preferred:

  • MBA Business Administration
  • At least 5 years of experience
  • Experience with PJM operations markets and planning functions
  • Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
