Position Responsibilities: AART Responsibilities Operates and maintains x-ray equipment fluoroscopic equipment and c-arm ensuring proper functionality and safety. Captures and processes x-ray fluoroscopic and c-arm images ensuring proper image quality and clarity. Responsible for all aspects of quality control for the x-ray area as required. CT Tech Responsibilities Operates computed tomography (CT) scanner to produce cross-sectional radiographs of patient s body for diagnostic purposes. Assists/administers contrast media as ordered by Radiologist. Assists radiologists during interventional procedures such as biopsies injections drainages etc. using the CT images for guidance. Responsible for all aspects of quality control for the CT area as required. MRI Responsibilitie Operates magnetic resonance imaging and computerized tomography equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients body for diagnostic purposes. Interviews patient to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and to request removal of metal objects which are hazardous to patient and equipment. Monitors staff and patients entering scan room to assure not one is wearing or carrying metal or other hazardous items. Responsible for all aspects of quality control for the MRI area as required. All Modalities Transports patients according to their physical abilities relative to the exams requested. Guides manages and protects the patient according to Department policies and procedures and all Federal State and DNV rules and standards. Uses positioning aides as needed to produce a quality patient exam. Assists in preparing the staff and patient schedules to maximize efficiency while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs. Assures all areas of the section are clean well-appointed and attractive for patients. Maintains compliance of all Federal State and DNV rules and standards. Practices sterile technique and Universal Precaution. Evaluates exam for technical quality. Maintains all records logs and reports according to Department policies and procedures. Cleans room and restocks linen and supplies as needed following each examination. Makes follow-up calls to patients or physicians as necessary and performs other administrative tasks as necessary. Assists in the training of Radiology students.
Shift: 3-12s Weekend Day shifts per week/Day shift occasional call shifts per dept rotation.
