BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Finance is one of the core functions in WFP with a strong network a of over 800 employees globally operating in 90 country offices. The new Finance Strategy recognizes the role of technology as key enabler for a successful finance function and a critical driver for its aspired digital transformation. The purpose of this assignment is to strengthen the Financial System and Process Support Team (CFOMS) providing business analysis capacity to the Financial Helpdesk Team to ensure continuous and efficient system maintenance and scale up strategical finance digital transformation initiatives with a particular focus on Helpdesk activities and corporate project initiatives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the helpdesk team activities to ensure timely and efficient resolution of support queries for finance budget and programming staff worldwide with a particular focus on Finance Treasury budget and Programming.
This includes the following main responsibilities:
a) Monitor on daily basis our CFOMS inbox and provide direct response to FAQs;
b) Provide first-level support by guiding users on system functionalities perform business and technical analysis of complex or integrated support requests and coordinate the resolution of system bugs and change requests reported by end users
c) Prepare monthly statistics on CFO WINGS Helpdesk performance (for CFOMS and CFO overall).
d) Identify FAQs and maintain our knowledge database
e) Provide efficient support CFO functions to enhance and maintain proper functionality of financial systems
Act as Senior Process expert for Finance in particular for Accounts Payable Budget Control System (BCS) Treasury related issues and the local payroll ones (Quantum). This includes the following main responsibilities:
a) Perform all activities required to ensure an efficient resolution of key integration issues
within CFO functional areas and with other business processes in particular with Finance HR
Fund Management Asset Management Travel Management MM-Procurement and other
supply chain processes;
b) Assist with the implementation of system fixes and improvements with TECD Application Development/Maintenance team (prioritization status meetings etc.). Provide detailed documentation for required system fixes or improvements. Review analyses and provide input to functional specifications provided by Application Maintenance partners; Conduct
user acceptance tests and coordinate integration testing activities with various business when required;
c) Ensure proper maintenance and update of WFs Enterprise Accounting Structure (EAS) including important corporate master records/structures in WINGS such as newlocation/office codes (Business Areas plants GL commitment items Cost Elements etc.).
Define clear ownership and responsibilities within the CFO department in close coordination with other divisions.
d) Manage basic configuration for Pre-Approved Changes in WINGS e.g. configuration of Quantum tables house banks petty cash accounts account determination bank communication settings etc. Facilitate CFO WINGS Training courses for Finance Staff. Designprepare and facilitate basic WINGS training courses on financial transactions processes and
reports for Finance Assistants and LPEs in HQ RBs and Cos. Improve specific training documentation/tools and train colleagues to enhance overall RMFS training capacity.

Support monitoring and regular review of CFO WINGS authorization profiles to ensure alignment with internal control. Ensure timely validation of non-standard WINGS access requests to guarantee proper segregation of duty for all CFO functions in HQ and the field.
Ensure proper definition and creation of NEW nonstandard roles for all CFO functions in close cooperation with role config team.
Support ongoing digital transformation initiatives for particular RPA implementation rollout and maintenance IPSAS implementation Harmonizing Donor contribution.
Promote Financial Accountability oversight and evidence-based decision making. Develop new financial management and oversight reporting tools (e.g. ABAP queries) on request of CFO managers in HQ and the field to support effective and transparent financial management in HQ and field offices. Ensure timely and accurate update of existing reporting tools including fixes and small enhancements.
Guarantee Business continuity in CFOMS. This includes back-up activities during absences of colleagues and other ad-hoc tasks such as support the new Bank Communication Manager function support monitoring and regular review of CFO WINGS authorization profiles to ensure alignment with internal control principles ensure proper maintenance and update of WFPs Accounting Structure (EAS) etc.
Provide ad-hoc support as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
Advanced University degree in Finance Business Administration Accounting or other relevant field or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses
Experience Knowledge & Skills:
At least 3 years in the implementation and support of SAP/ECC
projects with focus on Financials (FI) Fund Management (FM) and
integration of other core modules (MM TRM HR);
At least 3 years of experience in Financial Management General
Accounts Accounts Payables Accounts Receivable and related
business processes;
Experience in project implementation methodologies standards tools
and techniques (e.g. Agile testing);
Excellent overall technical and analytical skills critical reasoning and
strong problem-solving skills;
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple tasks effectively and
efficiently
Proven writing editing and language skills and an ability to convey
complex ideas in a concise clear direct and lively style;
Prior experience with multicultural teams and multinational
environment.
Accountability moral Integrity and high standard of professional
Ethics.
Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic Chinese French Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFPs working languages) is desirable.
