POSITION SUMMARY
This position plays a key role in the product development cycle for the Nano Accessories Product Group at Hitachi High-Tech Canada. Responsibilities will include mechanical electrical and software design collaborating together with sales engineering product development assembly manufacturing and participating in project management. Successful candidate is expected to be a quick learner.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & Development: Creating new software and/or products and improving existing ones.
Manufacturing: draft specifications for mechanical and electrical assembly.
Testing & Implementation: Conducting experiments testing prototypes fine-tuning designs and overseeing project execution.
Planning & Documentation: Preparing detailed reports drawings specifications budgets and overall project management.
Collaboration: Working with team members clients contractors and other professionals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
4-year degree or diploma from an accredited university or college
Minimum of three years related product engineering QA and design experience required
Knowledge of QA procedures certification is required
Software certification is preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIREMENTS)
Microsoft 365 (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Teams etc.)
Proficient in programming in Java C and Python
Familiarity with specialized engineering software (e.g. SolidWorks)
Good verbal and written English communication skills
Knowledge of industry customer base and products
Requisite presentation skills
