What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including entrances common areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow verify authorization when required and document arrivals departures and key events per site guidelines.
• Complete written and/or electronic reports log patrol observations and communicate hazards maintenance concerns and policy issues to the appropriate parties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
