We are looking for a talented and creative Research Associate/Research Fellow to work on a project funded by the Pharmaceutical Innovation Program of Singapore (PIPS). Primarily we are looking for an individual dedicated to heterogeneous catalysis thermochemical reaction engineering with some experience in using advanced characterization techniques to probe the structure of catalyst active sites under working conditions and catalytic mechanisms. The project aims to develop reaction engineering approaches to tackle technical problems associated with the hydrogenation of liquid feedstocks. The Research Associate/Research Fellow will work closely with computational chemists to understand structural-functional relationships of the newly developed catalysts and elucidate new catalyst design rationales.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Publish research results in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals.
Participate in the daily running and maintenance of the research lab.
Manage the day-to-day operation of the experimental apparatus.
Procure chemicals and consumables.
Mentor and co-supervise junior researchers.
Work closely with industry partners.
