Job Description
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Driver Patrol in Honolulu HI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and assist students staff and visitors with clear communication and professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to students staff and visitors by following site-specific policies access procedures and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings walkways parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor and report security-related concerns such as suspicious behavior unsecured doors maintenance hazards and/or prohibited activity escalating to campus partners and/or emergency services as needed.
- Support security-related operations at academic and special events by assisting with crowd direction access control points and/or lost and found procedures per post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
