This is a remote position.
We are sharing a specialised remote opportunity for Infectious Disease Physicians to support a healthcare AI partner developing advanced clinical decision-support systems for diagnostics antimicrobial stewardship and population-level infectious disease intelligence.
This role allows experts in ID medicine to review annotate and validate clinical data ensuring that complex reasoning guideline adherence and edge-case scenarios are accurately represented in model training.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Data Annotation
Review and label ID consult notes microbiology reports EHR narratives and case datasets
Identify pathogens diagnostic workups antimicrobial regimens resistance patterns and outcomes
Quality Review & Validation
Audit datasets for accuracy and alignment with IDSA CDC and WHO guidelines
Evaluate AI-generated recommendations for antimicrobial selection duration escalation
Knowledge Contribution
Define annotation standards for infections such as sepsis endocarditis opportunistic infections
Advise on immunocompromised hosts and emerging pathogen scenarios
Model Evaluation & Feedback
Review AI-generated summaries and treatment suggestions
Provide structured feedback to improve clinical reasoning and safety
Documentation & Training Support
Contribute to specialty-specific annotation frameworks and onboarding materials
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
MD or DO with Infectious Disease specialization
Board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Disease
Active U.S. medical license
5 years post-fellowship clinical experience (preferred)
Experience with inpatient consults complex infections and antimicrobial stewardship
Familiarity with EHR systems microbiology data and clinical terminologies
Interest in medical AI or informatics (preferred)
