The Staff Accountant supports the Accounting team with accurate financial documents clerical accounting and bookkeeping duties.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

Assists in the issuance timely and complete financial statements
Maintains the corporate fixed asset/equipment accounts
Assists in preparation of information to external auditors for the annual audit
Reviews compliance with debt covenants
Assists with local state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Ensures that accounts payable and accounts receivable are timely
Completes AR payment processing and ensures that bank reconciliations are completed
Reviews General Ledger accounts on a monthly basis
Prepares special reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends
Provides backup to other accounting staff as needed

REQUIREMENTS

Associates Degree in related field (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Work experience in related field
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
Familiarity with finance regulations
Ability to handle sensitive confidential information
Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office and Vista/Viewpoint (preferred)
