Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Watch in Santa Clara CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist guests and tenants with friendly service clear communication and timely reporting. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants shoppers and guests by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate timely updates to site contacts and/or responding services as required.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas corridors exterior walkways parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and observe for suspicious activity policy violations and/or hazards then take appropriate actions consistent with post orders and local requirements.
- Complete detailed reports of patrols incidents and customer interactions and escalate concerns through the established chain of communication.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2 years of security experience.
- Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Have a guard card and/or license preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
