Job Summary
Job Title: Medical Assistant II
Location: Cincinnati OH 45219
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:45 AM 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $21 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant II to support physicians in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient clinic operations delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining accurate documentation within the EMR system.
Key Responsibilities
Assist physicians with patient examinations treatments and procedures.
Record vital signs medical histories and medication lists accurately in the EMR.
Prepare and review patient charts to ensure completeness of diagnostic reports and documentation.
Process medication refills and prior authorizations; communicate effectively with pharmacies and insurance providers.
Manage patient calls portal messages and EMR work queues in a timely manner.
Schedule appointments complete patient check-in/check-out and coordinate pre-certifications.
Perform clinical procedures including EKGs cardiac monitoring vaccinations phlebotomy splinting and cast removal as assigned.
Maintain exam room cleanliness stock supplies and ensure equipment readiness.
Adhere to all safety confidentiality and regulatory compliance standards.
Travel to additional physician offices as required.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Current BLS certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Excel EMR systems and scheduling software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
25 years of Medical Assistant or relevant clinical experience.
Experience across multiple care settings (Primary Care Specialty EMT etc.).
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential.
Associate degree preferred.
