Facilities Operations and EHS Lead – R&D

Donaldson Life Sciencesis seeking aFacilities Operations & EHS Leadto manageand oversee day-to-daysite facilities operations while leadingtheEnvironmental Health & Safety (EHS) program.In this role you will execute site specific targets andobjectivesaligned with Donaldsons overallenvironmentalhealth andsafetystrategiesto provide asafe compliant and highly functional environment that enables scientific innovation and technical development.The ideal candidate brings hands-on facilitiesexpertise strong coordination skills and experience supporting laboratory environments.

Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Greenville SC facility.

RoleResponsibilities:

• Leadsdaily facilities operations for R&D laboratory utilities and office-space

• Ensuresreliable operation of critical systems including HVAC electrical plumbing water systems compressed gaseslab utilitiesjanitorialservices andbuilding security

• Coordinatesand managespreventive maintenance repairs and upgradesto ourpreventative maintenance program of facilities and labequipment tominimize downtime and operational risk

• Servesas first point of contact for facilities-related issuesimpactingR&D activitiesand manages certificate of insurance process for all contractors

• Tracksproject scope schedules and budgets; ensureswork is completed safely and to specification

• Assistswith onboarding of new equipment from afacilityand EHS readiness perspectiveand supports implementation of new equipment or proceduresutilizingthe Management of Change process

• Tracks and manages on-site inventory place purchase orders and coordinate shipping and receiving supports onboarding of newsupplierstoensure uninterrupted site operations

• After-hours on call support as may be needed

• UtilizesDonaldson EHS Framework to support site compliance with EHS biosafety and regulatory requirements applicable to R&D operations location and employees

• Maintains on-site specific EHS compliance calendar and the EHS action tracker.Maintains the EHS ComplianceCalendartofacilitatethetimelycompletion of EHS-related compliance training and preventativemaintenanceobligations.

• Utilizesvarious DCI-provided risk assessment tools toidentifyexposures to health and safety hazards or environmental aspects that can result in harm to people property or the environment.

• Conducts data collectiontodemonstratecompliance with the sites environmental regulatory requirements

• PartnerswithglobalEHS and R&Dleadership teamtomaintainsafe lab environments including chemical storage waste handling and emergency preparedness

• Conductsemployee training as applicable and as outlined on the EHS compliance Calendarand responsible forrecord keeping of applicable staff training including internal HR courses trade licenses and certifications

• Manages scheduling and coordination of chemical and biohazard waste pickups ensuring compliance with safety environmental and regulatory standards

• Program coordination of first aid AED CPR Code Blue safety supplies training and record maintenance for the first responder team

TRAVEL: Up to 5%

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in a facility operations role or EHS focused role

• Worked inbuilding systems lab utilities and/ormaintenancesetting

• Experience managing contractors and service vendors

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in biopharma life sciences or regulated R&D environments

• Strong ability to work as part of a team and independently

• Ability to work at all levels of the company providing excellent customer service.

• Facilities management and EHS certifications (a plus)

• Strong organizational problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to positively influence and interact with others absent direct line of authority

• SharePointOnline and BenchmarkGensuitesoftware experience(a plus)
