Civil Engineering Intern

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design analysis and implementation of civil engineering projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to develop innovative solutions and address challenges.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Support project documentation including drafting reports preparing presentations and conducting research.
• Engage in fieldwork including site observation and data collection ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications :

Requirements:

• Strong desire to be a civil engineer upon completion of their education.
• Currently enrolled and pursuing Bachelors or Masters degree in civil engineering at accredited university or college and have completed minimum 2 years of engineering coursework.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to function effectively in a teamwork environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and capable of working with AutoCAD Civil3D and other engineering software.  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong interests in civil engineering consulting services
• Previous internship experience in the industry.
• EIT or ability to obtain EIT certification.

Additional Information :

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Duties are typically performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table 
• Ability to actively engage with a computer for several hours per day and communicate over the telephone or virtual meeting platforms. 
• May occasionally need to lift items up to 15 lbs. 
• Work in the Newport Beach office up to 5 days/week with flexible work hours between 7 am and 5 pm

Compensation: 

The salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidates experience education and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate is $28.50 per hour.

Work Authorization: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or transfer. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored visa support now or in the future.
