Job Summary
The AECOM Transportation team is seeking a talented ambitious Structural EIT for our Edmonton AB location supporting the railway bridge group projects.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to supporting technicians.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
Must have completed a bachelors degree in Structural or Civil Engineering 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Must possess a valid Drivers License
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Structural Engineering
Engineer-In-Training (EIT)
Familiar with common structural analysis and design software
Co-op or Intern experience
Capable of using a spreadsheet word processing and standard office software
Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD MicroStation SAP2000 Midas S-Frame
Proficiency in steel and concrete design and analysis
Strong attention to detail and quality
Strong oral and written communication skills; including an aptitude for technical report writing
Forward-thinking and motivated
Team oriented
