Job Summary
As a Survey intern responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
- Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station.
- Mark points of measurement with elevation station number or other identifying mark.
- Travel with survey crew to different civil engineering project sites around town.
- Place stakes at designated points and drive them into ground at specified elevation.
Qualifications :
- Enrolled in a two-year civil survey technician program Civil Engineering program or related field.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD are preferred.
- Able to work extended periods of time in outdoor conditions.
- Above average math and communication skills.
- Valid drivers license and availability for overnight travel.
