Job Description
As a Security Guard - Unarmed Mobile Rounds in Ashburn VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government education location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors document observations and respond to concerns with calm professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government educational location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings parking areas athletic fields and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity assist with sign-in and/or badge procedures as required and report unauthorized persons or suspicious activity to site leadership and/or public authorities per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including alarms disturbances medical calls and/or weather-related events and communicate updates through the appropriate chain of command.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation note maintenance or facility concerns observed during patrols and support security-related investigations by preserving observations and reporting details accurately.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Having a guard card and/or security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
