Job Summary

Reporting Line

Operational reporting to Senior System Developer; administrative accountability according to departmental structure.

Primary Responsibilities

The Junior Developer 4D Database / 4D Server supports the maintenance development and optimization of the companys 4D-based system landscape. The role includes server administration database development and technical support for internal users and client systems.

Specific Responsibilities

Ensure stable operation of the 4D server environment
Perform maintenance updates troubleshooting and performance optimization
Support further development of the 4D database (4D language structures forms business logic)
Analyze system errors and implement sustainable fixes
Provide technical support (1st2nd level) for internal users and clients including troubleshooting and training
Contribute to new modules automation processes APIs and integration projects
Create and maintain technical documentation
Collaborate with business units to implement functional requirements
Ensure compliance with internal IT security and quality standards

Qualifications :

Profile

Completed technical training or degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Systems or equivalent
Experience with the 4D database environment or strong willingness to learn
Basic understanding of database concepts and programming logic
Strong interest in development debugging and continuous system improvement
Structured reliable work style with high sense of responsibility
Strong communication skills and enjoyment in supporting users

Required Skills

Good programming knowledge (e.g. 4D SQL JavaScript or similar)
Understanding of client/server architectures
Analytical thinking and problemsolving abilities
Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
Ability to communicate technical topics clearly
Good English communication skills
