Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on innovative Engineering Intern to join our Innovation Excellence Pump Systems team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize design prototype procure and build components and assemblies for products and testing/manufacturing fixtures.

• Turn concepts into reality by rapidly prototyping using a variety of fabrication techniques (e.g. 3D printing machining).

• Documentation Support (update of article specifications and work instructions)

• Support early-stage process development projects for novel hemodynamic support devices.

• Assist in characterization qualification and validation activities to establish robust production processes involving equipment and fixtures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D Manufacturing and Quality to ensure smooth product development and transfer to production.

Qualifications

• Interest in the areas of product development and medical devices

• Fluent in English and German

• Strong communication & interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a matrix organization and participate effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Capacity to work under strict timelines

• Skills design mechanical testing and validation

Duration: 3-6 months (with potential for extension)
