Job Summary
Role and Responsibilities
The purpose of the Operations Supervisor is to provide leadership for Flairwoods shop production by setting direction and leading lean initiatives. This person will establish production priorities and schedules consistent with customer requirements and expectations. They must be able to build effective relationships to influence others internally and externally.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Shop Floor Production to meet customer quality and on-time delivery requirements while controlling cost and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives to increase overall manufacturing efficiencies at the lowest cost possible.
- Develop and maintain an effective manufacturing organization through selection training/development and motivation of the workforce.
- Train motivate and create a continuous improvement environment involving all employees.
- Track and report on key manufacturing metrics in support of Company Goals and the Incentive Plan.
- Supporting company policies and procedures goals and objectives and goods manufacturing practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Prior Supervisory or Shop Floor Leadership experience.
- Safety Conscious.
- Must be a good communicator to employees at all levels within the company.
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques and methodologies.
- Ability to influence build commitment and overcome resistance.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects delegate responsibility and follow through to completion is essential.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Enthusiastic cooperative and positive behavior.
- Strong leadership background able to get everyone involved in making improvements & in decision making
Preferred Requirements
- A strong background in Laminate Wood Manufacturing.
- A Bachelors degree.

Successful candidates:
