About the role:The Financial Services Summer Student reports to the Finance Manager and will assist in the general operations of the Financial Services Office for the Municipality. The student will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and reception duties including: assisting citizens and others in responding to inquiries directing telephone calls and supplying information cash handling maintaining office files and records mail processing and providing support to the Financial Services Office staff. This student term will run from approximately early May to late August.
Hourly Rate: $18.00/hour Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
Qualities to succeed in the role:
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent customer services skills
- Proficient with technology especially Microsoft Office
- Comfortable handling cash
- Interest in Finance/Accounting
Education & experience required:
- Post-secondary education in progress in Business Administration/Accounting or related field
- Conditions of employment include legal eligibility to work in Canada and a satisfactory criminal record check
