Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Trucking Safety Insurance & Compliance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the trucking industry and a strong understanding of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations insurance processes and transportation compliance standards.
This role is responsible for overseeing safety compliance managing insurance-related matters reducing company liability and ensuring that all regulatory and operational requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with FMCSA and DOT safety regulations
Maintain and audit Driver Qualification (DQ) files and compliance documentation
Oversee accident reporting investigations and claim follow-ups
Communicate and coordinate with insurance providers regarding claims and policy updates
Track Certificates of Insurance (COI) and policy renewals
Monitor safety performance metrics and CSA scores
Coordinate drug & alcohol testing programs
Support audit preparation and regulatory inspections
Manage driver onboarding documentation and compliance requirements
Implement safety improvement and risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in trucking safety compliance or insurance coordination
Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT requirements
Experience handling insurance claims within the transportation industry
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
