Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and layouts for components and assemblies
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems and related components
- Interpret engineering specifications and translate concepts into accurate technical drawings
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
- Revise and update drawings in line with design changes and project requirements
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant engineering standards and internal quality requirements
- Maintain drawing registers and proper document control
- Provide technical support to the production and engineering teams as required
- Ensure adherence to safety health and quality standards
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical design and draughting
- Qualification in Draughting or Mechanical Engineering (advantageous)
- Experience in an electrical engineering/manufacturing environment (advantageous)
- Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
