Job Summary (List Format):

- Perform diagnostic radiography and computed tomography (CT) procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Prepare patients for radiographic and CT procedures providing clear instructions and minimizing anxiety.
- Corroborate patients clinical history and ensure thorough documentation for licensed practitioners.
- Select and operate radiography and CT equipment ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
- Position patients and equipment for accurate anatomical imaging considering patient comfort and ability.
- Immobilize patients as needed for safe and effective imaging.
- Determine and apply proper radiographic exposure techniques minimizing radiation exposure.
- Evaluate images for technical quality confirming accurate identification and documentation.
- Verify informed consent and assist licensed practitioners with interventional and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Practice aseptic techniques and provide physical and emotional support to patients during procedures.
- Prepare identify and/or administer contrast media and medications as prescribed.
- Initiate basic life support (BLS) when necessary.
- Operate CT equipment select protocols perform venipuncture and manage digital image storage.
- Maintain knowledge of universal precautions patient confidentiality and departmental policies.
- Report equipment malfunctions and provide input for equipment and supply purchases.
- Provide practical instruction to students and health care professionals.
- Participate in quality assessment improvement plans and may manage inventory and supply purchases.
- Maintain professional development and continuing education for licensure or certification.
- Communicate effectively with culturally diverse populations; bilingual (English-Spanish) skills preferred.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
