Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Gatehouse Monitor in Santa Fe Springs CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at employee visitor and vehicle entry points by verifying identification issuing badges and/or visitor passes maintaining entry logs and directing deliveries to designated check-in areas.
- Monitor cameras alarm panels and access control systems to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting events preserving incident details and coordinating with on-site teams and/or public responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of docks staging areas parking lots and the perimeter to help reduce unauthorized access and/or operational disruptions reporting maintenance and security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
