As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Ankeny IA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support site personnel with professional customer service. You will communicate clearly document observations and use basic computer or tablet tools to report activity. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; notify site leadership and/or public responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas warehouses parking areas and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity hazards and/or policy violations.
• Control access to the facility by monitoring entry and exit points verifying credentials as required and directing visitors and contractors according to site procedures.
• Complete timely reports and logs of patrol activity incidents and observations; communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
