Job Description
As a Security Guard - Flex Perimeter Rounds in Sterling VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech media and telecom location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents and respond to service requests with clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a tech and media location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas common spaces and the exterior perimeter; working conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and help manage visitor entry by verifying identification issuing temporary credentials as directed and/or maintaining sign-in logs.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or local responders as required.
- Complete routine reports and communicate relevant security-related information to supervisors site management and/or incoming staff during shift changes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
