As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Driver in Newark NJ you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a hospital setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation reporting and coordination with site leadership and/or local responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas such as lobbies corridors waiting rooms and parking areas as well as exterior grounds and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas check credentials as required and help to direct visitors to appropriate destinations while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete detailed reports of observations incidents and patrol activities and communicate security-related concerns to supervisors and/or the appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Hospital vaccines are required.
• One or more of the following is required: 1 years law enforcement experience or 2 years security supervisor and/or manager experience or 3 years security experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hospital: Restrain individuals is required.
• 2 years service in healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
• Security experience of 5 years is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
