As a Airport Traffic Control Officerin Honolulu HI you will serve and safeguard the airport its facilities travelers directing and managing flow of traffic enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff.Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers employees and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities in a government aviation location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminals parking areas access roads and perimeter zones to help to identify unusual activity hazards and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas by verifying credentials as directed observing for unauthorized entry attempts and reporting concerns through the established chain of command.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including supporting evacuations medical response coordination and crowd management as directed by site procedures.
• Document patrols incidents and service calls in written and/or electronic reports and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
