Job Description
As a Security Officer - Turnstile Monitor in West Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced tech location you will help monitor entry points manage badge access and respond to alarms and/or access issues as they arise. You will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents and support teams and visitors with clear communication and customer service. At Allied Universal you will act with integrity collaborate through teamwork and bring an agile reliable mindset every shift.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a tech-focused location by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification managing visitor registration and/or badging and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate areas.
- Monitor entry and exit points and report suspicious activity policy violations and/or hazards to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting events and notifying Allied Universal supervision as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas exterior grounds and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or damage.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
