What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to facility staff transit employees contractors and the public by carrying out post orders site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government transportation facilities platforms parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe people vehicles and deliveries for compliance with posted rules and authorized entry requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation coordinating with site leadership and contacting public emergency services when needed.
• Complete patrol logs incident reports and other documentation and communicate security-related information to supervisors and/or the appropriate authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a guard card and/or license preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
