Job Description
As a Security Officer - Magnetometer Screener in Sanford FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As a Screener in a tech media and telecom location you will greet visitors verify credentials manage access points and perform entry screening while staying visible to help discourage security-related issues. You will communicate clearly with employees and guests document activity and escalate concerns as needed. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees visitors and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies at designated screening checkpoints.
- Screen individuals and belongings using approved methods and equipment verify identification and access authorization and help to deter prohibited items from entering controlled areas.
- Monitor entry and exit points manage visitor sign-in and badge issuance and coordinate with site contacts for access approvals and/or escort requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
- Document screening activities unusual activity and incidents in daily logs and reports and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or client representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
