Job Description
As a Security Officer - Gate House Officerin Cranbury NJ you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail and mall location you will help manage badge access monitor entry points and complete routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and unusual activity document observations and provide a welcoming service-focused presence for employees visitors and vendors. At Allied Universal you will work with a reliable team that acts with integrity while staying agile and innovative.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail mall location.
- Staff access control points to help manage entry and exit verify credentials issue visitor passes and direct customers vendors and/or contractors according to site procedures.
- Monitor cameras alarms and access control systems document observations and communicate unusual activity to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including handling disturbances medical events and/or property damage and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas store perimeters common areas and parking locations to help identify hazards policy violations and/or suspicious activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
