Job Description
As a Security Officer - Mobile Vehicle Patrol in Reston VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points communicate clearly and deliver customer service that builds trust with teams on site. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at an aero and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings production and office areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
- Control access at entrances and gates by verifying identification and/or visitor authorization issuing temporary credentials when assigned and directing authorized personnel to the correct areas.
- Respond to alarms incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services and completing incident documentation as required.
- Monitor CCTV intrusion alarms and/or other security-related systems when assigned and report maintenance or operational issues through the appropriate channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 years of security experience.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
