Job Summary
As a Temporary Associate Fashion Editor youll be an integral part of the Cosmopolitan fashion team collaborating with talented professionals to bring the magazines fashion vision to life. Your role will involve a diverse range of tasks from creating and managing fashion shoot boards to ensuring the smooth logistics of clothing deliveries. Youll also have the chance to style digital shoots advise talent on self-styled shoots and represent Cosmopolitan at fashion events and shows.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain fashion shoot boards tracking brand requests and updates.
- Communicate with fashion brands and PR agencies to call in clothing accessories and jewelry for shoots.
- Coordinate shoot logistics ensuring timely and safe delivery of garments with transportation and courier services.
- Assist with run-throughs fittings and photo shoots including travel and weekend assignments.
- Style assisting duties including packing/unpacking trunks taking credit photos and wardrobe maintenance.
- Support sample trafficking and manage couriers and shipments with the Fashion Closet Assistant.
- Gather credit information from brands and track credit placements across print and digital shoots.
- Style digital shoots and front-of-book stories collaborating with the Visuals team and external partners.
- Advise talent on self-styled shoots ensuring alignment with Cosmos brand identity.
- Represent Cosmopolitan at fashion events press days and seasonal trend reports.
Qualifications
- A strong passion for fashion and a keen eye for trends and styling.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using fashion shoot management tools and software.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience in fashion styling or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of fashion industry trends and key players.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work including occasional travel and weekend work.
- A positive and collaborative attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to the teams success.
The base salary for this role is $29/hr. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors such as: transferable skills work experience business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
