As a Security Officer - Full Time - Afternoonsin Waterloo IA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location you will conduct routine patrols complete detailed reports and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license with time spent moving between areas of the site. You will deliver customer service with clear communication supported by Allied Universals agile reliable innovative people-first integrity-driven team culture.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas warehouses loading docks parking lots and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and control entry and/or exit in accordance with site procedures including verifying identification and directing visitors and contractors to proper check-in locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
• Complete routine documentation such as shift logs incident reports and patrol activity reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.

• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
